Ok so I reintroduced my male acanthurus is loving it. He is basking out of control as her basking spot was about ten degrees warmer,(150). Anyways, I went into their cage and could not find her this morning. I ripped up the cage and found her dug under the basking platform. Anyways, she has never done this before and seeing how its about the 22nd day since she mated, she is probably digging for a nest site. So then, the male gets a bit horny and runs down and trys to "greet" her. Is this a good idea? He shouldn't be mating with a possibly gravid female. He is a very agro breeder, he loves it. I seperated him just for a bit. What should I do? If she does have eggs, he shouldnt be trying to mate with her, right? I dont want him to sress her out if she does decide to lay or if she is gravid. Thanks
