I completely agree with you. Controling an animals size by restricting its feeding cycle is wrong. It, in my opinion, is just as hazardous as over feeding to obtain massive sizes in a short period. The only proper method is an appropriate size meal every 7-10 days as a juvenile and receding to once a month for adults. Once again this is just my opinion and my experience but I do agree with you that it is not right
Todd, I agree about the health issues of trying to keep em small. Snakes in the wild are oppertunists(sp), they eat what they can when they can. I believe because of this they will often choose a larger meal over a smaller one simply because they don't know when the next meal will happen along. Could be days or months. I'm also sure that those in the wild who only manage a small meal every month or two will certainly suffer the consequences, health wise, in the long run. It's childish and selfish to treat a captive animal this way. If they were MENT to be small they would have been created to remain that way. LOL OK I'm off my soap box fer now.
