Twisted back

Jarskie Dec 17, 2005 04:43 PM

Hey guys, Ive got another question for everyone. I was visiting my girlfriend this weekend in College Station, and stopped in at a local pet shop to kill some time and saw a pretty good looking bp (later found out it was female after they probed her for me). She was given to the store by the original owner, and has a few burn marks from the hot rock she was kept with..... (err, doesn't that just make you mad). Okay, the question: She had an accident when she was young, and some how the back 1/3 of her spine is twisted all the way to the tail. They couldn't give me any details on how it happened, but they did say that she eats, digests, and poo's just fine. The poor thing looks like she has marbles for a back. So my question is, do you guys think that this girl would be able to breed and lay eggs SAFELY? She is about 3 years old (again, thats what they think...) and around 1600 grams (weighed her myself at the store). No signs of parasites, infections, etc... aside from a few scars and the knarled back, a good looking girl, with a great temperment. Thanks in advanced!

~Johnny

P.S. Man, i keep asking this health issues, but i really do have good healthy snakes, haha!

She will probably have a good life at the pet store. But go for it! If you don't succeed you could just take her back and at least she got a little action!

Thanks for the advice, thats exactly what I wanted to hear. But please understand, I am not looking to make big bucks, or any for that matter... This is just a hobby. I was pretty sure that breeding her would be more tramatic, but as I have stated many times, Im no pro... Thanks again for the advice,

~Johnny
