Sav with a runny nose

My savannah started with a runny nose yesterday. It was not bad, it looked like he just had some dirt stuck around his nose which happens often after he swims then digs. Today the liquid draining is very noticable. I was wondering if anyone has any advice. I am going to get him to a vet in my area first thing Monday, he has some experience with monitors I have been told from another person who takes her guy there. I hope he can help him. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for now. I am going to increase his basking spot right now.
