Retic's grow to be the longest species of snake in the world. Several documented cases of over 20feet and reports of them growing over 30feet, though I have never seen proof of one that big. They usually average around 12-15feet. Females generally growing larger than males. Not all locales grow this large. Some breeders are focusing on the 'dwarf' retics, which don't grow quite so big. How much experience do you have with snakes? And how much experience with boas and pythons? There are many other options out there if your not ready for a snake of this size.

I have to disagree. Most mainland females are going to exceed 15’ easily if fed properly and live long enough. I have a couple of close friends that have several retics that are over 20’. Males on the other hand are going to be slowing in growth around 15’. Most of my adults exceeded 15’ a couple of years back and they are still considered young. My largest is nearing 18’ now. In my opinion you don’t see many retics over 20’ because most people don’t keep them that long. Even look at this forum. How many adults do you see for every hatchling? The answer is not many.

I completely agree, if you have a female retic and it doesn't get 20 feet, thats probably because you got rid of it before it got that big or you aren't feeding/housing it properly! 15 feet is a given!!!!
