whoa! thats pretty big for a A. maculosa! Looks great, I can't wait 'til mine get that big, right now the male is only a baby at under a foot and my girl is prob getting close to 2 feet.

Thanks! He's about three years old now, I got him from the classifieds here on kingsnake back when he was a yearling. He wonderfully tame except right after feeding, when he can be a bit nippy, but I don't mind that because once you pull him out of the feeding box he's fine again... he just has a VERY strong feeding response. He grabs the rat right away every time and has never refused a meal.

Nice snake. I didn't think males tended to get that large. Now you have me wondering how large my female will get. What size prey are you feeding at this point?

I give him a good sized small rat every two weeks or so... he's 3 years old now.
