A bloody breeding

Jaytor Dec 19, 2005 01:11 AM

I have a male that leaves a thin trail of blood when a female is placed in the cage. It only happens when a female is placed in the cage for breeding. He is actively chasing them around and breeding them. He is on paper towels. And is producing sperm plugs? Does anyone know of this. Should I stop using him as a breeder?

It is probably the female leaving the blood trail. In my experience that means the female isn't receptive to the male just yet but she will be soon.

Corey
