brooksi/floridana photo festivus for all of us

in spite of inherent flaws in the system ,this is the best group of individuals i have found on the web posting about kings and the like. kind of like a nondenominational gathering we can all believe in the same thing (Lampropeltis)in our individual ways. keep posting the locale types, field work shots and morphs and keep the discussions rolling. yahhhhhhh!

this an "extreme orange" lavender albino female.

this an "extreme orange" male. he speckled out so his color is not as intense as the female.

a white side female. someone told me that she was ugly ( and to some she may be) but i like her and the potential that i see...

a sulfur male. not the best pic of him but all that i had available at the moment.his tail has a wee kink but it doesn't stop him from much of anything.

daveb Dec 19, 2005 03:55 PM

axanthic whiteside male. this guy is a real character and a pleasure to be around.

daveb Dec 19, 2005 04:00 PM

this female may or may not be heterozygous for lavender albino, the breeder was not sure and was openly honest about it. she is now 18 months old, a little over 3' and retains a surprising amount of red. kind of an eccentric and one of the few brooksi/floridana in my collection that have stopped eating this winter. hmmm, wonder what i am doing wrong.

daveb Dec 19, 2005 04:03 PM

hypo male. one of these days i am going to get an orange red offspring from this guy that carries that thick stripe down the entire dorsal surface. maybe before pigs fly.

this girl laid only a couple of eggs this year that eventually went bad at various points during the incubation period ( nobody's fault but mine, nobody's fault but mine...). i opened one of the eggs and it contained what appeared to be a patternless ghost near full development.

my favorite king of all time. no tooty fruity colors or pattern, just 5' or rat wrecking goodness.

daveb Dec 19, 2005 04:11 PM

Beautiful Dave. Man you have some nice Brooks. I have to agree, that nice normal yellow one you have is a beauty. You'll have to post some full body shots of him. Thanks for posting, and Merry Christmas to you.

great series of photos thanx for sharing, that hypo Flame is an amazing animal, and the hold back hypo is a pretty nice light snake as well, looks like cream? i'd really love to see another shot of the extreme female, i don't think that pic does her justice... your Axanthic WS is killer but can we see a full body shot (hopefully i have one next season), pretty sad about that patternless ghost (hoping to produce ghost in `07)
