I am a carpenter by trade so designing and building is no problem. I just want to know if anyone has ever had prob.'s with routing heating cables on wood shelf boards. I plan on routing a grove length ways across the shelf that the cable will be set in? I know to get a good thermostat. I am just scared of fire. Has anyone here tried this on wood shelves? Painted wood? Or shelving covered with formica?
