Okay, I am wondering if my leos wont eat crix that are coated. Abbie was tearing up the un-powdered crix, now she wont eat.. I've tried 3 different powders. Any ideas?

Okay, I am wondering if my leos wont eat crix that are coated. Abbie was tearing up the un-powdered crix, now she wont eat.. I've tried 3 different powders. Any ideas?

Thats probably because of the vitamins/calcium. I started off not coating the mealies just putting them in a bowl. He loved it then I tried to put them with miner-all. He wouldnt touch them. So a few later I took them out washed his bowl cleaned them of and put them back and then just put another lower bowl for calicum and never looked backed. She also might be getting tired of crickets, try something new if tahts all you feed her.

Hey Jeff, with the mealies, some geckos are picky and they wont eat them if they are coated. With the crickets is different, the more vitamins (not in excess) the best...also i forgot to ask you, what are you gutloading your crix with??? because that makes a lot difference...in geckos, might be the smell of the crix or something...try chicken feed...
