Green Burms - Any validity to the rumors about health problems

I keep seeing rumors and insinuations that Green Burms have
some kind of genetic defect or something that shortens their
lives dramatically.

I've only been able to find one picture of a nice sized adult
green. Anyone here have an adult green that can post a picture?

Do they all get darker as adults, or does it vary?
