1YR OLD MALE NOT EATING ANYTHING

sunbirdx Dec 20, 2005 11:57 AM

Hey guys,
My one year old male, Bender, is not eating anything at all. He is just charging around his tank with his beard extended and black, running through greens and bugs as though they didnt even exist. Is he just hitting "puberty" here or what? His femoral pores are also really enlarged, which also points me in the direction of puberty. Let me know what you all think.

Sounds like puperty. Do you have any female dragons either in sight of his cage, or in the room? Any other males? If yes to any of these questions, it may be a good ideal to move him to another room, so he won't be close enough to smell or see other adult dragons.

Is he running towards reflective surfaces in his cage where he may be seeing his own reflection? If so, it may be an ideal to cover those areas (or as many as possible) to reduce his 'I am TOP DRAGON' displays.
