breeding

mjf Dec 21, 2005 01:35 AM

I posted previously that my female yellow that I thought was pregnant last year wasn`t. Things look good now though as far as breeding go, breeding later and longer.....last year I took the male out after only 3 days.....neophyte! This year they get cool temps at night for weeks on end....together, and I have seen breeding activity numerous times. I will have a digital camera at Christmas and will let you have a look in the honeymoon suite! Cheers! and Merry Christmas.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Although breeding has occurred at other times, the typical breeding season for E. notaeus in captivity is October through February. Good luck and keep us posted.
