Taylori legality?

DeanAlessandrini Dec 21, 2005 01:44 PM

Anyone know if anything (paper trail, etc)
is required to keep / breed / sell cb l.t.taylori?

I know they are protected by both states they occur in (CO and UT), but not sure how that works with captive breeding of snakes outside of those states.

Anyone?

Thanks

Dean, if you have cb taylori there is no permit required outside of UT, AZ or CO to sell them, breed them or whatever. The snakes are found in northern AZ and NV(although it is questionable if they occur south of the Grand Canyon, but any north of the canyon would be taylori for sure. The snakes south of the canyon look more like celaenops than true taylori, and some of us do not even recognize taylori as a subspecies) . NV milks are newly known and completely unprotected as of now. AZ taylori are legal to collect and keep, but not to sell in state. Hope that helps.
