People breeding and keeping in Az

PatrickR Dec 21, 2005 01:57 PM

Just crossed my mind and started to think about things but
keeping in mind Az law and the fact that you can't sell hots does anyone have and native hots tey would be willing to give me as a gift... possibly an animal that is undesired or you had a snake give birth and dont want that many offspring etc.. whatever the circumstances, I'm sure not everybody has to rely on their own WC animals to be in the collection so there has to be some trading or gift giving

Patrick-
As a CA resident, I don't qualify as a donor, but..
Our code is apparently similar to AZ's. Moreover, in CA we are prohibited from returning any captives to the wild (which is one of the few thought-out points)but the code is mute on other dispositions, ie: gifts. So my thinking is that your plan may well be a viable one. Good luck.

P.S. Should you find local donors for some of your state's more attractive alpine crotalus species, I am willing to relocate.
Bill
