substances for shed aid

Besides the commercial shed aid what are some other substances do people use to aid in their reptiles shedding problems? Thanx

For tegus, you shouldnt need anything to help shedding, other than proper hydration, cage humidity and making sure they are getting fruits as part of their normal diet, if you have one with a problem shed, let it soak in water for an hour or two, make sure the water goes only to its shoulders and that it is not forced to float, then gently rub the shed away
