Now a sort of "whistle" coming from a larger burmese isn't too big of an issue if you are holding the animal. When the larger burms breathe harder, they do have somewhat of a "whistle" to it to an extent. As the previous poster mentioned, I would be watching for an RI and watch his eating etc. Most importantly...check his temps and humidity. I noticed that you posted in the retic forum about some open mouthed breathing in your Retic. Seems that you have some potential issues with humidity and temperatures. My recommendation would be to check them immediately and get them both to a vet ASAP. IF this is just a start phase for an RI in your burm, you can catch it early on. You retic definitely sounds like he needs toget to a vet without hesitation.
My best,
Chris
>>I have recently noticed a whistle in my albino burmese that is about one year old and about 4 1/2-5 feet long. I would like to know if anyone has any ideas as to what this may be. So far all i can come up with is a cold or respiratory infection. If you have any other ideas i would love to hear them. Thanks in advance.
