Mystic Hatchling updated pics, Mojave for comparison..

anthony james mc Dec 21, 2005 10:45 PM

The Mystic line resembles the Phantom line more than any other line.. Even Ralph David himself agrees that based on the pics I've sent him has HUGE potential to have a "KILLER SUPER" as he put it! Time will tell , can't wait to breed this line to female Mojaves, Crystal Ball watch out!!! The hatchling Mystic male looks noticeably better in person , it's hard to see the blushing on the lower sides in a pic , but with it in your hand you can clearly see that the sides are blushed out in about 80%-85% of the areas where the Mojaves have all their stonewashing, the Mystic blushing is present down the sides but only comes about 40% up the sides unlike the Mojaves which often times have blushing/stonewashing all the way up the sides , sometimes even coming onto the crest of the back. If you study the Phantoms on RDR's website (which I have dozens of times now) you'll see that the Phantom sides are almost if not exactly the same as the Mystic sides, even the patterns and overall coloration are VERY similar... Sorry Ralph, I meant "Davis" not David, hit the "d" instead of the "s" , sorry man, I hate these damn keyboards anyways! Can't delete or edit the post or I would , this program is outdated! Anyway here is another pic of the Mystic hatchling. People have asked for updated pics so here you go... Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles... Sorry again bro , won't happen again...

Cool snake. It does have some Mojave characteristics for sure, but darker in color. It might lighten up as it ages, but who knows. It should be an interesting project for sure. I am a big Mojave fan, but have to be honest, do not know squat about the Phantoms.

Thanks for your post! Go to Ralph Davis Reptiles.com and you will see the Phantoms there , Ralph is the mastermind behind the original Phantom line.. I have several Mojaves here as well, they are cool snakes for sure, I'm just hoping to put the two morphs together and see what happens! I also am anxious to see what the Super Mystic looks like if it's anything like a Super Phantom, I will be very pleased!!! Take care, Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles..
