Any ideas on feeding?

More sick sinai agama drama.....

Help! I am having trouble getting him to eat/drink again. This time I think he is tired of me messing with him and doesn't want to be bothered everyday. If I get and water or food in his mouth he opens his mouth and shakes it all over me. Pleasant experience let me tell you. He will not eat the crickets....handicapped or not, too much effort I guess. Do you think I should try reducing the frequency of feedings? I know before he got sick he would eat for a couple days then skip 1 or 2...then eat again. Any suggestions? Anybody? Physically he is better...still has a real swollen abdomen but he is alert and moving better than before. And the vet is out of town for the holidays......sounds familar doesnt it?

have you tried using jump start? i personally have never used it but i hear it works wonders. i know they are insectivorous but i have had tremendous luck with babyfood when you use a syringe. you could add protein supplements to it to make it more nutritional. i would leave him alone for a little bit, he is probably pretty stressed out and that will make things worse. if you can find away to make a cricket smoothie... put it in a syringe it works wonders. you can actually get it into their stomach or just in their mouth(which is better if they will eat it like that)just make sure you dont give him to much or too fast or he will bring it back up. good luck. happy holidays
