isla de maize boa comparison shots

jonathan-m Dec 22, 2005 06:02 AM

hey all. here are two comparison shots of My Corn Isl. boa. sorry for the poor quality, the first was taken inside with flash and the second was taken at midnight inside with flash, so a lot of his great colors were washed lost

this is his grumpy dark phase, he can get a little darker than this too

and this is one of his beautiful nightime (and sometime daytime) phases

these boas truely have to be seen in person for their true beauty to be realized. I don't think there is any boa out there that can match the color changes of Corns, not even my Hog has as drastic color changes. this guy has many other color phases that he goes through that I haven't got on film yet. sometimes he is really dark and ugly, and then somedays he is dark with an amazing green tint to him. I guess it all depends on how he feels haha. the best part is that he is still a baby, so there will be so many more years of color changes for me to watch him go through! I had always thought corns were amazing in pictures, but after owning one for a while I can say that there is no other boa out there that comes close to the beauty of these guys, to me.

Very nice. Mine goes through a red phase. When he's really dark he's mahogany.
