Heat tape temp?

kurma Jul 24, 2003 08:06 AM

Well I got my flex watt heat tape to settal right at 92.3 and I just feal should live it there. I figure its losing 2-3 degrees threw the plastic and papertowel? I don't have a digital thermometer for the rack yet but I have a temp gun and the air temp is ussually at 84 in the back and 78 up front. I'll use my tortoises thermometer today and get a surface temp

That sounds good to me too. I believe your temp gun is measuring the surface you have it aimed at. It doesn't take air temp.
