Helix Thermastat sensor question

Where does everyone put their sensonrs when you are trying to keep the ground temps. In one of my cages I have it underneath the cage but I can not get it right on my vision cage. I thought of getting it inside and putting it on the ground

You can use the thermostat sensor on the heating element itself but you will ahve to take readings from the floor of the cage and adjust the thermostat addordingly...
