Hi all,

I am thinking about purchasing a Nikon r1 macro set up.....anyone used one yet?

Its Directional wireless Twin flash macro that uses the on board flash from a d70,d70s or d200 as the trigger.

Does any one know if you can manually turn on the focus light (so you can manually focus) like with the sb 29?

I was thinking of purchasing from Bhphoto.

Scott,

I haven't used the R1C1 and don't know if you can manually turn on the light to focus. I imagine it would have this feature, especially if the SB29 ring flash has it. The biggest advantages I see to the newer system are i-TTL and wireless control.

Here's a link to some more info on this system. I didn't read it thoroughly so don't know if your questions are addressed.

Regards,
Wasil
