skinny tinc problem

joseph1 May 18, 2003 06:51 PM

OK I bought 4 tincs that arrived 4 days ago. 3 of them have visibly gained size and weight. One of them has not. I feed them all the fruit flies and flower beetle larvea they can eat. Well dusted of course. They live in a fairly small 1 or 2 gallon plastic tuperware with the usual paper towal and what not.

I have seen the little guy eat on a couple of occasions but it just doesn't seem to keep pace with the others.

What do I do?

Thanks all
joe

This is what I would do:

1. Seperate that one into its own container.
2. Give it a good place to hide
3. Cover the container sides to make it feel more safe.
4. Don't over feed it.

It sound like it may just be shy. I lost a Leuc to about the same thing. I did not know all of the above steps at the time and now after thinking about it. I think it was just shy, or bullied.
Hope this helps,
