Steve Craig and Jentzen: Nothing beats a great feeding response!

coolhl7 Dec 24, 2005 07:52 AM

I appreciate all of Jentzen's photos and agree that the #1 desirable trait of any animal is a great feeding response followed by a great desire to breed. I always figured if they want to eat and breed then they are happy....BTW, Jentzen, I hope you never get any hots. Steve, great choice in dogs.

Thanks Coolhl7. Dobermans are great dogs, and at one time I almost got one. My dog you see pictured is a Manchester Terrier. Both the Doberman and Manchester do share a history and bloodline together. Back in time, the Manchester was used with another breed or breeds of dog to create the doberman. Your doby is a beauty, and of course will grow much larger then my guy. Mine will top out at around 24 LBS. But Manchesters are tenacious guard dogs inspite of their size.
And to keep things on topic, that is a beautiful Eastern King you have. Is that one a NJ locality Eastern? I love the very thin, bright white bands. That is a locality of Eastern King that's next on my list.

really looked like a dobie pup lying on that couch.
funny that you crop the ears but not the tail.
my eastern, unlike my dobie, has no known pedigree, although it does look NJ stock from the photo. however, photos can be deceiving and unfortunately the neon white you see in the photo is more like what you will see in the following photos.
