I recently bought a two month old sulcata from a trustworthy reptile shop. Since we brought him home, he only sleeps and isn't active at all. The shop suggested several things, but nothing worked. we keep him in a 40 gallon tank and have a combo heat/UV lamp. After almost a week I took him in the yard and he immediately walked around and ate the grass. I've had him outside a couple of times and he very active, but goes right back to sleep in the tank. Any ideas?

Does he have a uv light that's 100watts with basking light that's also 100watts. Keep the basking light on for 12 hours a day. Oh, if he is that young he will sleep a lot kind of like most babies I know.
