I was looking over my BPs yesterday, and on my pastel female I noticed some wierd looking scales on her head. They look like a stuck shed, but they only appeared within the last 3-4 days. They are wrinkled and it looks like there is a little red area between two of them. This is only occurring on about 6 head scales.
Looking through NERDs book I came across this infection. It says it is caused by "unsanitary, cool, moist conditions for prolonged periods of time". I don't think that is really happening with my snake though.
The ambient temps in their rack (animal plastics) is about 84 with their basking area hitting 88-89. I have a water bowl on the far side of thier tubs, away from the heat. I spot clean thier cage pretty much every day and then change out the bedding (sani-chips) every week. The only thing I might need is to up my hot side temps, but then I think it raises the ambient temp too high.
Let me know what's going on and if there's anything wrong here what I can do to make it right. I am going to get something to treat it with this afternoon, but I don't want this to show back up. Thanks
Andrew
