How are These for a Good Diet?

colorfulcritters Dec 25, 2005 08:24 PM

Bloodworms, Krill, are they nutritious for res's, or is krill too salty and are bloodworms too fattening? I'd like to know if anyone knows what they contain, especially bloodworms, and if krill is okay to feed to res's.

are they dried krill? i dont like those because i have had a lot of people feed those and then the turtles refuse everything else. the more variety the better. i use about 7 different types of pellets, 3-4 different types are enough. i dont like to use any live food because it can easily introduce parasites and diseases.

Both are fine but just as part of a complete diet. You should include some pellet, and leafy greens (chicory, dandelion green, escarole or even some water plants). You can also include earthworms, crickets, mealworms as part of the diet too. Emphasize more plant material as the animal matures.
