I recently got a papuan python that was sold to me as a female. However it probes at about 7 scales and has fairly large spurs. So do these guys probe deeper on average?

Assuming you're refering to Apadora, females probe around 4, females around 10-12. Might be an immature male....

I can't imagine that it's immature it's over 6' I mean it should be fairly obvious it's just 6 is an odd number especially when it is suppose to be a female. Thanks for t he help though.

Well, they hit 15', so 6-7' is not necessarily mature. Also, the first breedings of them in captivity were from animals aged 20 and 30 years. Mine are both 12'.
