0.1 CB Normal Ball Python

If you spend thousands of dollars on a snake, you are a moron.
Ball python prices are asinine.

It all depends on your goals. What do you want to produce? Do you have a male Pastel right now? If the only Ball Pythons that you have, and that you plan on buying right now are the Het Hypo females and either a Pastel Het Hypo or Homozygous Hypo male, you have a difficult decision to make. A Pastel Het Hypo will give you in all likely hood, a Pastel Ghost, which are the highest end animal you could produce with your group, whichever male you decide to get. However, it would also produce the least sought after group also, which would be normal looking poss het Hypos. If you got the male Hypo, you would have all either Hypos or 100% Het Hypos. So, what do you want to produce?

If you can swing it,I'd purchase the Ghost and the Pastel het. Ghost (males) It's an obsession. I did that this year 0.2 ghosts ,0.2 het ghosts, and 1.2 pastel het. ghosts
I don't think you can go wrong with the ghosts.
Also John Piro is a good guy, I did purchase from him and I'm very happy with mine.

......you are buying either

1.4 het ghsosts
1 ghost and 4 het girls
or a pastel male het ghost and for het girls?

of the three choices get the third.....a male pastel het ghost and the 4 het ghosts.......

if that's the question.......

IF you haven't the money get the ghost and 4 hets and a pastel female to breed to the ghost later

I would buy female ghosts and hets and bring them up and pick up a male in a few years. Maybe by then you could afford a visual pastel ghost male. In my opinion there isn't much sence in having males if you don't have adult females. Sure you could make hets but what fun is that.

granted thats true but in actuality I have 28 females 4 of which are breeding size now 5 more next breeding season then all my other fems the next 2 seasons after that plus the 4 het fems are already 200 and they will be bigger then that when they come to me in march/april if i get the pastel het ghost i would theretically come out with the same results as having just a regular het ghost BUUUUUUUUUUT because it would be pastel het ghost my chances of hitting the jackpot would be dramatically increased for a pastel ghost then i get the best of both worlds at once to plug into more fems
