Multi-gecko cage??

Arcreya Dec 26, 2005 04:00 PM

Hello,
I am planning on getting a trio of Pictus geckos, and even have a pair of females on order. My cage is a converted clear plastic blanket box, about 3 feet long and a foot and a half wide, with undertank heating pads and overhead lighting too. I will have about 10 different hiding spots along the heat gradient.

However, I have fallen in love with a beautiful little female blizzard leo at the petstore. Would there be any chance this beautiful little leo could live with my Pictus geckos??? Because I don't really think I can decide between them now...

I wouldn't mix them because they all eat the same thing so there will always be compition for food hiding spots and many other things. Also i have never had pictus geckos but i think that Leos outgrow them. You should never really mix geckos but i'm pretty sure that there have been some people who have successfully done it, so you can never really know. But if it was me i would just go buy a new 10 gallon for the leo just to be safe, that way your not risking life and limb of your geckos.

I have a full grown female pictus gecko. My full grown leos could easily eat her. I would definatly not reccomend this. PLUS PICTUS GECKOS ARE FROM THE JUNGLE AND LEOS ARENT! You need to mist pictus geckos' cage to keep the humidity up. I keep mine with a layer of vermiculite at the bottom of the cage with dirt and bark above that just to keep moisture in.. they like to dig sometimes too... Why why why would you keep these together? ps if you wanna get rid of your pictus geckos so you can keep leos then let me know I am interested in breeding them
