I use a pile of slate reasting on 2 bricks for basking in most of my tanks. They can bask on it and run under it safely/securely.
I use big rocks in some large wide breeder tanks, resting on another large rock so it will not move, add sand last so they can not dig under and have a rock cave in, which has happened to some of our forum buddies and is fatal
(Be careful)
I use some long narrow driftwood for bridges here and there, just as an added climbing object. And have started to use those low/long caves made by exo-terra as all mine seem to love to pile in them and sleep, seem to be preferred, even over real rock caves.
My choice has always been WASHED play sand from home depot unless they are hatchlings then paper towels for a month or so.
Just have fun, and create your own tank, using as much natural stuff as possible.
Some people on here have created fake rocks and looks awesome .
