red and yellow nigerian mating

uroman24 Dec 26, 2005 05:47 PM

The nigerians are fairly new to me, so my question is, can reds and yellows pair up and produce offspring successfully. I assume they can since they're both Geryi, but are probably from different locales. Has anyone heard of or had experience with the mixing of the two, anyone with some knowledge or experience, please put in your two cents. Isn't it awful the way I write.

I'd really like to see a pic of your u. geyri that exhibits both red and yellow colouring.

Hopefully I can tell you later this year, but all I've heard is that it's not a problem.

I've got two red males, two yellow females and one red. One male has definitely hooked up with the red female and I've seen some soliciting going on of the yellow. With his enthusiasm, it WILL happen.

I'm curious as to when the females will ovulate. The two saharan males I have are hot to trot, but none of the 4 females are interested. They continuously flip on their backs to repel the advances. Literature states this is normal, but damn it looks stressful. I'm affraid if this goes on like this til march the females will be sressed out by the time they ovulate. Anyone else getting similar issues

Mine aren't flipping but they try like hell to get away. The male, smaller, manages to get them wedged between branches and stuff. For such a young man he's got the skills
