Why I picked the screen name Oxyrhopus: Gravid Oxyrhopus petola

Oxyrhopus Dec 26, 2005 05:51 PM

A recent import as gravid, she is over 3 foot long and just loaded with eggs. She had a prelay shed today and will hopefully drop tonight or tomorrow so I can stop the worry. I've kept this species for many years and I really like their eyes and their bahavior.

Well I should email you for some information. I think there are 3 subspecies and the above is p. petola this other one I have here is p. digitalis (I think). Again, I think but I've yet to do a band count and look into the matter. However the case, I think that both specimens came from Surinam so I need to figure if their ranges cross.
