Hi, I got a "Waters-Edge Bio Habitat" for Christmas. I would like to have both fish and amphibians in there. I was thinking about having either fire bellied newts or toads. Would I be able to keep fish with these species or would the toxins produced by the amphibians kill the fish? I'm not worried about the amphibians eating the occasional fish, but I dont want the fish to constantly harass the amphibians. Many years ago I had fire bellied toads and put a betta in their tank, the beta would ram the toads whenever they went in the water and he had to be removed. So I need fish that will not be bullied and harassed by the amphibians and vice verca. Oh, and I would like it if the fish would clean up any crickets that drowned in the water.
Can anyone suggest species of fish that would work in this setup?
