GTP x Carpet?

igordog Dec 26, 2005 06:04 PM

Does anyone know any detailed information about these? Are they sterile?

Is there a perfered 'recipe' for breeding them? I've read that for some hybrids, it's more likely to prodce results if you have a specific gender from once species (i.e a male blood python a female ball python as opposed to a female blood and a male ball)....

I've seen the hybrids produced from both Irian Jaya carpets and jungle carpets. Is one coupling more productive than the other?

Anything else known?

I think that they're infinitly beautiful, having all the most striking features of both snakes....

From my understanding it's usually a carpet female and a chondro male. It's been done a few times now. Treat them like you would a pair of chondros.

They look neat as a babies. I have yet to see a good looking adult. They usualy turn a puke/dirty green with bleeding black markings. There should be some old enough to breed. I think the steril thing is a myth... I'm not 100% on this.
