ok maybe its a species of south american sipo snake-Chironius sp.??
Thats funny i have been looking up info on South American snakes on the web and then came here to see this post. Im pretty sure that it is a Mastigodryas boddaerti (Machete Couesse?) which are found in tropical South America, Trinidad and Tobago. They feed on Birds, lizards and mice.

Good show and even better odds considering it was posted on the racer forum earler. However the case, I was thinking someone would recall the species from memory or look it up after they saw the pic.

Honestly i had just been browsing south american snakes and i was just writing down the names of some i liked and wanted to find more info on and that was one of them as well as these few, Oxyrhopus formosus, Oxyrhopus rhombifer, Oxyrhopus guibei, Thamnodynastes pallidus, Liophis lineatus, Liophis epinephelus. Those are just some that i had wanted to find some more info on. The Oxyrhopus are amazing snakes as well as some of the Liophis species.

Oh I believe you but the odds that you were doing that and clicked on this forum to see a snake you were just researching are indeed pretty high.
