My point here is, you mentioned in your original posting that these are known as "venomous". While I completely understand that these snakes are not really considered "highly toxic" or even remotely "dangerous" as far as venomous snakes are concerned, it is ALWAYS a good idea to use proper handling equipment when you handle a venomous snake (especially when showing a public photo). If you want to freehandle privately, that is your right, but when you freehandle a venomous snake and show it to the general public or other "not to knowledgeable" keepers...they are only seeing that you are freehandling a venomous snake and therefore think that they are OK to do that with. I know that you dont feel that you are allergic to anything, and that is great, because as far as I know I am not either. However, you dont know that for sure UNTIL you get bit. Every time a hot keeper gets bit and ends up in the hospital (whether it be due to the bite itself or anaphylactic shock) it ends up on the front page of the local dispatch.
I think it's great that you wanted to share the photos and I think the snakes are beautiful. I would certainly like to see more photos, but I think it would be better if the photos were taken in side of the enclosure or while being handled with a hook just so you dont give inexperienced or unknowledgeable keepers the "wrong ideas". I wish you great luck with the FWC's and I hope you will keep us updated on their health and growth progress.
Best wishes,
Chris
