Mark
ok its not easy to take a pic of the head
the strange thing is that is live ok here now are 6 to 16 c in buenos aires argentina
in the shell it has circuls
thanks a lot

If it came from your local area, it is almost certainly Trachemys scripta dorbignyi (or Trachemys dorbignyi), the only species in Argentina and widely separated from other Trachemys by the Amazonian rainforest, although this species usually has an orange "ear". If it is not local, I would agree that it is most like Trachemys script venusta, although several of the other Mexican and Central American sliders are similar in appearance. For example. T.s. emoryi is similar to venusta with a yellow ear stripe and circular markings on the carapace.
i have dorbingi and are difernt also i have nelsoni, concinna, elegans, scriptas but are diferent
this animal sure was import some years ago it s very big the scaner i use is not an a4 side its the biger ones
its has a yellow orange and circular draw with a cebter spot in each one scules
thanks a lot
sorry for my english
bye bye
I mentione a Trachemys species but spelled it incorrectly - it was emolia, not emoryi. I would go with venusta for your specimen if, as you say, it is not local.
thank you very much i saw some pics and im nearle sure its a venusta the extrange thing i that its adapt to winters here
thanks
This animals looks like Trachemys venusta to me.
