I posted in the water snake forum and got chastized for my pics. Does anyone have a false water cobra and handle them? Heres my pics

It is not shocking. I think instead of looking for support maybe you should just think about what exactly the benefit of posting pictures of handling a misunderstood snake is.

I am just trying to find out if what the guy who breeds them, is telling the truth. I have not had a problem with my snakes showing any signs of biting. I had no idea it was going to cause a contoversy. Delete the posting. I am not looking for support, only facts. Thanks any way!

Could you post the tattoos separately? Just the thought of these and a snake in the same picture being offensive is beyond reason. Kind of unexplainable but akin to when Lucy/Ricky, Samantha/Daryn, and Rob/Laura could't share a bed on TV but had kids.

Did you want a pic of the tattoo that was in the pic? It was only partially there, but I can post it without a snake in hand, but it might get deleted.

More pets than one room can hold. I listed them all but it looked ridiculous!!!

I am not saying that everyone should hold them however I think my 15' retic would cause more damage than a FWC. I enjoy holding ALL my snakes. I use tongs with the rattlers and show them respect. I have been been out in the field with people that catch rattlers without any tools-that is something I will never do, but as my Mother always said "if everyone jumped off the a bridge, would you?

Yours look to be the same age as mine. The breeder did not tell me how old they were. Just so I have an educated estimate, how old is your FWC?
Will you continue to handle it as an adult?

Baught mine @ the Sac show from GVS- I had a pair about 10 years ago but had to get rid of them because of personal reasons @ that time. For those who get affended by peaple holding a FWC-get over it! Do you write to Jeff Corwin when he picks up a Cottonmouth free hand??? I pay very close attention when handling any snakes & have been doing so for 20+ years, It isn't like I am holding an andaconda with a hat covering my eyes, like...
