Question abotu feeding Roaches(Aimed at PE)

RAG66 Dec 28, 2005 08:23 PM

All of you who feed ROaches...specifically Lobsters and keep your monitors in Galvanized troughs do the lobsters go straight up the metal? For RObyn specifically how do you feed out lobsters with as many cages as you have with out watching the lobsters like a hawk praying one doesnt get out? I use Orangeheads now myself but, would use Lobsters if I could figure out how to containt the lil guys in a actual animals enclosure

I have blaberus discoidalis and they suck at climbing. Not sure about metal troughs though. If worried, you can ring the top of the enclosure with mineral oil and they won't be able to climb past it. Never tried it, but heard it works great. Might be a bit messy, I"m not sure how much would be needed; test it out

we use a ten inch plastic crock (bowl) to feed the Lobster Roaches. we paint the sides of the bowl with slippery Bug Stop, and there are no escape problems : )

we have actually started selling the roaches, and bug stop, check out our site for more details.
