Incubators and info???

CBH Dec 28, 2005 10:20 PM

Hey all,

To all of those willing to share info, I am just curious to what you all use for incubators, and what temps/humidity you use for your eggs (Gila's mostly but please, beaded info is great too!!)

Thanks in advance!!!

I prefer a converted wine cooler. I place a heat pad under a lidded water source. I place a thermostat on the heat source. The water holds the heat in case of a power outage and keeps the tempreture stable. By adding a hole or two in the lid of the water source you can controle the moisture by opening or closing the holes with tape. For incubation temprature and substrate I will defer to the experts.

I forgot to mention that I exchange the air within the wine cooler dailey. I also exchange air in the container holding the eggs dailey.
