I'm getting ready to begin writing up plans for my Burms final cage and would appreciate some opinions. I have read many posts of the same type, but they typically deal with people asking questions on how big a cage their burm will require once reaching the adult stage. They tend to get generic 8'X 3'X 2' type of answers and I was hoping for a little more information based on your own personal experience and preferences. My male is currently in the 11' range and I would like to give him a nice environment to live out the rest of his days. My dilema: I want to give him plenty of room without making it a nightmare to keep reliably consistent temps/humidity. I currently use a Pro Products heat panel controlled with a Helix therm and am quite happy with the quality and control. In all honesty, it couldn't be much easier. I'm just not sure how easy it will be to heat a considerably larger cage with the same results. Just to give you an idea....I was thinking of either a small room size enclosure with a full door for access, or going with an 8'X 4' X 4'. I know he doesn't really need the height, but I don't want to be crawling to the back of a 4' cage for cleaning either. Thanks in advance,
Jeff
