He ate pretty good last year but stopped around November 04. Around Feb 05 I took him to the vet for a check-up and he was fine. At the vets advice I closed off the hide and he started eating again. Turns out the temps were to low in the hide. Between then and now, about 8 months, he's eaten maybe 5 times. I can tell he's losing weight but not drastically. His temps are 95 hot, 80 cool. Humidity kicks on every 2 hours and puts the cage to around 80% but it drops to around 55% before the next cycle. Everytime I approach the cage his feeding response kicks in but he won't eat when I put something in his cage. I've tried f/t guinea pigs and rabbits. I tried live rats and a live rabbit. He won't even strike. I've kinda stuck with the live rabbit because I've been throwing away to much f/t food. I have a ball that used to be a heavy eater and is in the same boat. On the flip side my other ball has been eating live small rats like crazy. He hadn't eaten in a very long time and only started when I put a live rat in with him. I'm switched to f/t or p/k over a year ago and try to stick with it but they just aren't eating them.
