How old do they need to be to breed? I'm not sure how old mine is, but he is about 2 and a half feet long.

For males breeding size is approximately 500-600 grams or 6 months of age. For females they must be at least 1500 grams, typically 18 mos-2 yrs of age. Some people say as little as 1000g and some don't breed until 2000g. It really depends who you ask. If your girl is not ready, she won't breed even if you put her with a male. And sometimes they won't breed even if they are well beyond "breeding size."
