I have one really wierd Imitator...

Shopaholic Dec 30, 2005 04:42 AM

...that I wonder if he thinks he's a toad. He's been burrowing into the top soil. Is he digging for the springtails, and the isopods? But, I've never heard of these guys going down under for food. Then, he started acting like a chameleon, rubbing his nose up against the front door pane.

So, by now you might be wondering if he hates it in the tank. Its a beautiful 75-78 degrees, ~75 Humidity, and bustling w/ fruitflies, springtails, Isopods, and some other small creatures I can't ID. The vegetation is super grown and I've not observed any bar fights amongst the boys for the one gal that's in there poppin' off eggs.

Any of you seen this behavior in Imitators?

Thanks-

Maggie

What are you measuring the humidity with? It could be that the humidity is a little low. Many of the analog gauges are useless and many do not go over 75 or so. If that is what you are using.

Maybe get the humidity up around 80-90%.
