Problem I cant seem to avoid

RMCADguy Dec 30, 2005 11:37 AM

I keep having a small problem everytime I get a new leo shipped to me. I set up the geckos tub in the exact same way the gecko was housed with the breeder, the perfect temps and all. The same size tub is used, same hiding areas, same everything almost. And still, each time I get a new gecko in and I put them in their container, they always take a long time to adjust. I just dont know if I am doing something wrong or if it is simply because of the shipping process, because I have bought geckos here locally that don't have that problem, so I am not sure what it is.

So if anyone has any helpful advice I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Don't forget that they were shipped, and that is stressful. Even having the tub set up the exact same way it still won't be the same tub, with the same smells and tastes. It will still take some time for the little guy or gal to get used to it, and settled in.
