Need more humidty?

Julianne2 Dec 30, 2005 12:20 PM

I just went to the vet for an eye infection for my leopard gecko and she said it needs more humidity in the cage. It stays around 20-30% right before i mist it and rises to about 30-40% afterwards. She has a humid hide that stay about 50% without misting and about 70% after misting. Do i just need to mist it more often, right now i do it once a day? What are the right levels i neeed? Thank you!

I don't know that you use in your humid hide, but it is best to keep it moist all the time. I use Eco-Earth (shredded coconut fiber) in mine and have to add water about every 2-3 days right now. As long as the hide is kept moist you should be fine.
