if i feed mine lots of carrots it would become orange, so if he/she breed would its babies be orange
ps how can u tell if urs is a girl or boy, hes a year old

whoa whoa whoa...he wont necesarily become orange. His pigment may become stronger though. You dont want to just feed your dragon carrots, and not a lot of carrots when you do feed em. They are high in beta carotine, and vit A, and both in high doses can nbe fatal. Someone correct me if im wrong

Carrots are extremely high in oxalates - as much as spinach. That's not good. The oxalates actually REMOVE the calcium from the beardies diet. I would only feed carrots rarely, like once a week and when you do it should be a small amount.
I have read that beardies will change slightly in color depending on their diet. Feeding lots of carrots and squash is supposed to increase the coloring of dragons. I don't think a lot of research has been done on this. As I see it, it's kind of like human babies that eat carrots and squash. They get orange noses. Well, at least I did as a kid. 
But that doesn't mean that my kids will have orange noses because isn't not in my genetic make-up. I hope this helps you out. Just my two cents worth.
