This is a rack that I built for yearlings and adults. Each box measures 22" x 14" x 6". The whole rack is heated with Flexwatt that zig-zags along the back of the shelves. The box at the bottom left is unused and contains a probe which measures temperature and feeds the info to the thermostat, also at the bottom left. Currently, the temperature is set to 86°F during the day and 82 at night. While I have kept large adults in these cages for long stretches. I try not to. One year, I kept a gravid female in a box like this all through gestation. Her babies were all born but none survived. I think it was because the conditions were a little too cramped. When my larger animals reach a size of 4 feet or so, I try to move them into larger enclosures. Do you only have one animal? If so, why Sterelite? Why not something a little more pleasing to the eye?

i would keep her in a nice cage, but here in durango we are kind of a remote location and tank prices show that, the place in town sells 55 gallons for 200 dollars where in vermont where i used to live the store i worked at sold them for 79 dollars. so its the money keeping me back as of right now

I'd have to agree with Mike, sterilites, while good for hatchlings and yearlings, are not the best for adults.

I have recently bought some boaphile cages, they seem to work pretty good.
